On rough days I didn’t need to risk trying to light my kerosene stove as Wishbone leapt about on the waves, I just slipped a meal into the self heating bag while sitting firmly wedged on the cabin floor. Twelve minutes later I got out my spoon and tucked into a lovely hot meal – just what I needed on a rough night mid Tasman. There was a nice variety of meal options and they were all tasty, there wasn’t a single one I didn’t enjoy.”
